Side Panel
Before the side panel was cut, it was masked to stop it from getting scratched during the cutting process. In addition, everything was measured up and then measured again to make sure everything was correct. Since the panel already had a hole (covered in mesh), there was a limit to what type of case window they could do - there wasn't going to be any serious laser or water cutting, that's for sure!
After the cuts had been made, the edges were filed down to remove sharp edges again.
Next, the window was measured up (
twice, obviously... - Ed). The guys decided to use 5mm clear perspex. Both the area around the window and the perspex itself were masked to stop things getting scratched during the cutting process.
Holes were drilled in both the side panel and the perspex sheet so that the window could be mounted onto the case. This was done before the window was cut out of the plexi to give the window a bit more strength while drilling.
Finally, the perspex was bolted in using the same style M4 bolts that were used on the radiator (and fan grill) on the roof of the case.
